Special Shipping Requirements

A commercial address is defined as an address zoned as commercial real estate, having a loading dock and a fork lift. If an order is shipped via Truck Line to a residential address, a $72.50 fee must be added to the order. Someone capable of unloading the shipment must be present to unload and inspect the delivery. The fact that a business is being operated from a residential location does not qualify it as a commercial address. Any business being operated from a home, apartment, or other dwelling where people live on the premises is considered to be a residential address. Add this charge to your order if you are shipping to a residential address or arrange to have your shipment sent to a commercial address with a fork lift and a loading dock to avoid the additional carrier imposed-charges

If a lift gate is required to unload shipment a $ 72.50 fee must be added to the order. Add this charge to your order if you require a lift gate on the truck to unload the merchandise. The freight carrier will do one of two things, depending on the delivery vehicle. The equipment will be placed on the lift gate of the truck and lowered to the ground. The driver will then take the equipment off the lift gate. If no lift gate is available on the delivering truck, the freight carrier will lower the equipment to the ground. In either case, once off the lift gate or delivery truck, the customer assumes responsibility for any further placement or delivery of the equipment. Re-deliveries will be billed at $40.00 per incident if no one is available to accept delivery OR if the Carrier has to come back because the "commercial" address was actually residential. Any additional charges due to shipment refusal will be the customer’s responsibility.

Limited Access Locations refers to a location that is difficult for the truck driver to get to. Due to the inconvenience of getting freight in and out of these types of locations, which slows down the driver on their overall route, you will be charged a Limited Access freight fee of $ 95.50. The term "Limited Access" refers to various places including but not limited to: • camps • carnivals and fairs • churches, synagogues, mosques and temples • construction sites • individual mini storage units • police stations, fire stations, military base and military installations • mine sites • prisons • schools, colleges and universities • commercial establishments not open to the walk-in public • where an employee is not available to assist with loading or unloading. This service will not apply for shipments to schools, colleges, or university bookstores with normal receiving hours and where an employee is readily available to assist with unloading.
