AMT Plastic Rotary Polypropylene Drum Pump For Chemicals # 4946-99 is designed for the transfer of many organic acids, alcohols and other water soluble inorganic chemicals which are compatible with the pump's component materials. Glass-filled polypropylene pump with Ryton vanes and rods and Teflon seals, has exceptional chemical resistance. It is suitable for dispensing petroleum products, many acid and alkali solutions, water and water based chemicals. Hand crank rotary action.

Suitability for the application should be determined by actual use and is the full responsibility of the customer. No warranty, expressed or implied, is extended by the manufacturer where failure is caused by chemical attack on pump materials. Temperature, aeration, concentration, and other factors may change the effect of the specific fluid on the pump materials. Data shown is based on the results at ambient temperatures, unless otherwise noted. Replaces the RP-90P Pump and the GPM-PMP-109932 chemical pumps/


Applications:petroleum products, many acid and alkali solutions, water and water based chemicals. Components:Pump head, handle and knob assembly, strainer for suction tube. 3-part suction tube, 2-piece discharge spout and a roll of Teflon tape Construction: Polypropylene discharge spout, front & rear casings, cylinder, handle, crank arm, spring shaft, bung adapter, suction tube & strainer, Ryton vanes, & rotor, Teflon lip seal, Stainless Steel spring. Steel handle shaft, zink plated bolts, nuts & washers. Fits: 30 gallons to 55 gallon barrels. Inlet: Tapped female 1-1/4-16 Unified for the included 1" male suction tube. Outlet: Tapped female 1"-16 Unified for the included male spout. Suction tube: Three piece polyethylene 1" x 47" with unified threads Barrel adapter:2" bung adapter included. Capacity: 1 Gallon per 11.67 revolutions or 6 Gallons per 70 revolutions Viscosity: For liquids up to 2000 SSU (about the "thickness" of SAE 30 motor oil). Should the pump be washed out before usage?
Yes......since processing lubricants could contaminate the liquid.
Does the pump conform with OSHA rules for dispensing liquids?
It is the responsibility of the user to operate the pump in conformance with OSHA rules for dispensing liquids.
Should the pump and containers be grounded when using with flammable liquids? avoid static electricity. Both pumping-from and pumping-to containers should be bonded and grounded to disipate possible accumulations of static electricity and minimize sparks caused by static electricitym ( Refer fo pump operating Manual and to NFPA 77 for specifics and further details)
Are there any safety rules to follow when pumping gasoline?
Yes....Gasoline is a highly flammable fuel. The improper use, handling or storage of gasoline can be dangerous. Prevent accidents by following the safety rules and WARNINGS in the pump operating manual included with the unit.
