Brady Air Volume Controls
AV42T, AV80T, AV120T, AV100
A Brady air volume control is installed on the well's storage tank to introduce air into the tank with each pump cycle. The air helps maintain the water system's pressure. They are used on water well storage tanks that do not have a bladder or membrane between the water and air.
The Brady Air Volume Control ensure the proper balance of air to water in standard atmospheric pressurized water storage tanks, by preventing waterlogging of the tank. Brady air volume controls prolong pump life by reducing frequent cycling, thus reducing associated system maintenance costs. As well, the Brady air volume control allows increased draw down between pump starts. Another feature of the air volume control is the ability to add fresh ambient air to aid in the elimination of unwanted taste and odors in water. The stamping is zinc plated over low carbon steel and used primarily in areas where poor water conditions in the water do not affect longevity of the component.
