  • The polypropylene pump housing material is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and is generally suitable for most applications. Five elastomer materials are available (all suitable for pumping water):
  • EPDM: Resistance to a wide range of chemicals for general purpose use.
  • Santoprene: EPDM and Santoprene have similar chemical characteristics. Where data is not shown for Santoprene, the data for EPDM may be used as a guide.
  • Buna N: Generally suitable for oils, oil based liquids and oil emulsions.
  • Geolast: suitable for light fraction hydrocarbons and solvents. Buna and Geolast have similar chemical characteristics. Where data is not shown for Geolast, the data for Buna may be used as a guide.
  • Viton: Generally resistant to many acids and some solvents, has good high temperature properties up to 180º F but poor low temperatures performance below 50º.

The Flojet 2840 Series Water Pump Systems are designed to provide water pressure of 0 to 40 psi and a maximum flow rate of 4.5 gpm at 10 psi. The pump is fully automatic, with built in inlet strainer, pressure switch, and check valve, and supplies smooth flow from trickle to full flow.

Flojet pumps are commonly used on a variety of spot sprayers and small estate sprayers with a single fixed or adjustable tip wand. Frequently a spot sprayer and a small boom sprayer are combined on the same rig.

Pump inlet strainers prevent pump breakdowns caused by particles in the water. Transparent housing allows instant inspection. Screw off top allows quick in-place cleaning and removal of debris. Flojet Quick Connect Quad System allows for easy hose removal and fast system draining and winterizing. All Quad fittings fit directly into the Quad II pumps .
