Pedrollo Pumps Submersible Sump And Effluent Pumps

Pedrollo Pumps Submersible Sump And Effluent Pumps

Pedrollo continuous duty submersible sump pumps in thermoplastic or stainless steel construction, for drainage of clear water. Recommended for fixed installations in sumps or cellers, for draining domestic water or rainwater and for emptying tanks or reservoirs. Models available with solid handling impellers or vortex impellers.

In a 2-vane semi-open impeller design, the liquid with solids, passes through the impeller. The solid handling capacity of the impeller is determined by the space or distance between the vanes. The vortex impeller spins in an area of the volute that is completely out of the liquid flow path. The spinning creates a vortex similar to that found in a toilet bowl when it is flushed or a tornado. Basically, whatever goes into the pump suction will be pumped out as long as the solids are smaller than the discharge connection. Vortex impellers have less head pumping capabilities than 2-vane semi-open impellers.
